Growing Planet is a global community of volunteers. We are planting and cultivating trees with the aspiration of improving the quality of life on planet Earth. We are a part of an on-going effort to replenish the earth's forests and reduce greenhouse gases to protect the Earth's ozone layer. Our mission is to teach others how to sustain the earth's natural resources.

Growing Planet is a non-profit organization dedicated to planting trees and educating consumers about preserving the earth's natural resources. Growing Planet was founded by Max Wain in 1997 where it started as a group of environmental enthusiasts who would plant trees in their own time. Over the last few years, Growing Planet has broadened its vision. Now we want to send our message worldwide.

Growing Planet's primary goal is to replace the trees that have been logged for commercial purposes, destroyed by fire or cut down due to an increase in urban development. Growing Planet is also concerned with the vanishing rainforests. It has been estimated that more than one-third of the world's species live in the rainforests and when their homes are cut down, they can no longer survive. Growing Planet wants to help educate corporations and children alike about the devastating impact logging has on our planet's ecosystem.

Growing Planet wants to dedicate its time and energy into promoting non-timber products and making sure that consumers are aware of recycled products, and of recycling itself. Growing Planet hopes to create a worldwide community where we educate one another in the practice of replenishing our earth. In an effort to achieve our goals, Growing Planet has teamed up with the manufacturers of environmentally safe products, so as to promote their brands and ensure that consumers take the environment seriously.
